do you know the way to san jose? (flight attendant vlog)

it's funny because we found our way to san jose just fine, but couldn't seem to find our way back home on time. isn't that ironic? maybe it's more of a coincidence. all i know is that, as a flight attendant, there are few things worse than sitting around & waiting for more than an hour for your delayed flight to take off, especially when… well, i’ll let you watch the video before i spill all the juicy details.

anyway, although was not my first time in the bay area, it was my first time in the high-tech haven known as silicon valley. despite the torturously long day of flying that followed it, i enjoyed the layover more than i thought i would. it might even be my favorite so far. i don’t know if i should attribute the good time i had to my own buoyant mood that i brought with me when i arrived or if the city is really as great as the high prices of its homes would suggest. perhaps it was a little of both.

i went out bar hopping, hit up a strip mall to do some light shopping, stumbled upon a great little cafe. i even took the bus to santa clara to luxuriate, detoxify, & relax at a korean spa. also shout-out to flight attendant on the facebook layover group who recommended i eat at the city fish: you're a gentleman & a scholar.

have you ever been to san jose, california? do you love it or do you hate it? what are your favorite things to do there?
